About unmi

Unmi means "you and me". We make hand-painted sculptures of the dogs and cats people love, carefully and one at a time.

Unmi began with Messy, Eric's Pomeranian, and with his cats Kuro and Kumo. When it came to thinking about how to keep Messy close, nothing felt quite right: too generic, too rushed, or not really him.

So we set out to make the piece we would have wanted: a sculpture modelled by a person from your own photos, shown to you in 3D before anything is made, and painted by hand.

Who we are

Eric looks after unmi from Melbourne, and Anthony works side by side with our designers and artisans. We read every message ourselves.
